Our little family was gone for a week travelling around Alberta for various things (found on the previous post). The weekend before we were scheduled to leave our car decided to start acting up. Of course no one could look at it until Tuesday (the day were were supposed to be leaving) so we had to figure out other plans.
My parents graciously lent us their car but it was a bit of a challenge trying to figure out how to get it down from Claresholm and how to get home from the farm so they could have their car back. Joel helped us out and lent us his car and came to pick us up when we were finished with their car for the week. This long story DOES have a point and it is even related to Selah.
The point is that we had a bunch of ‘stuff’ for our week away and it did not all fit in the car on our way home. We ended up leaving some stuff at my parents farm, including Selah’s bassinet. So… guess who started sleeping in her crib the night before last!? If you guessed Selah, you are bang on.
We had talked about when to put her in a crib and never really knew when would be the best time. We figured now was as good a time as any. She has slept in her crib for 2 nights now and doing awesome. Last night she went the longest between feedings she has gone yet at just over 8 hours from the end of one feeding to the beginning of the next! She has been going about 6-7 hours at night which has been great for getting the sleep I need. We have always felt blessed by what a good sleeper our little baby girl has been.
She is growing up so fast and it is amazing watching her be able to do new things. It is a bit hard to compare using pictures alone but below is a bit of an idea as to how she is changing.
